How does the term "to rise above" fit into the game?

When you are in the core and it is your turn to roll the dice this has the same connotation as to rise.  If you have a balanced depth level of just one (everyone starts with this level), then when you roll the dice you must travel in this level to begin with.  The game is sending the message that if you do not have much depth it is much harder to rise above any ego interractions in your surroundings.  If on the other hand you have a balanced depth level of 7, with each roll of the dice you begin on the 7th level.  In otherwords you are able to rise above the lower level interactions with much more ease and very quickly.
