Hemp seed has been called “Nature’s Perfect Food for Humanity”.

A 55g serving (5 tbsp) of Hemp Hearts contains 314 calories of energy from 20 g protein, 23.2 g unsaturated fats (14.9g Omega 6, 4.7 g Omega 3 and 3.5 g Omega 9), 2.7 g saturated fats, 5.9 g carbohydrates, 3.3 g fiber, 2.6 mg iron, 40.6 mg calcium, 5 mg sodium, 5 mg vitamin E, .55 mg vitamin C, .07 mg vitamin B6, .18 mg vitamin B2, .76 mg vitamin B1, 1200 IU vitamin D, 2.2 IU vitamin A, .38 g Potassium, .4 g Phosphorus.

Hemp Seed has the ideal ratio of 3:1 of omega 6 to omega 3 essential fatty acids (EFAs). It is a perfect match to what the human body requires. It is the highest in EFAs – 75-80%. It is a source of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA)- a super omega-6 with many health enhancing benefits. The other major component in Hemp is protein. This protein is the same as what is already contained in the human body – a chain of 20 amino acids. The protein gets absorbed quickly and is easily digested. It also contains a rare protein – globule edestins. It is Gluten free, Soya free and Dairy free.

Hemp hearts are the most concentrated source of essential nutrients known. Hemp seeds contain all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary to maintain healthy human life. Unlike most oils, hemp oil can be used continuously without developing a deficiency or other imbalance of EFAs.
